Possible Catalyst Placement Locations

It is recommended that you install the catalyst as close as possible to the engine manifold in order for the catalyst to benefit from maximum exhaust heat exposure (please refer to diagram below). In some equipment applications it is possible to install our catalyst further downstream from the engine, including tailpipe installations and still experience significant emission reductions. Our non-directional flow catalyst can be installed either vertically or horizontally.
