Exhaust Pollutant Emissions Reduction

Micro Fresh Catalytic Converters and Catalyzed Muffler exhaust systems reduce exhaust pollutants.

Exhaust emissions reduction is achieved by heavily reducing pollutants such as Carbon Monoxide, Hydrocarbons, Diesel Particulate Matter, Nitrogen Oxide and Acrolein leaving the tailpipe of diesel exhaust, gas and LPG vehicles.

Exhaust Pollutant Components & Their Effects

CO (Carbon Monoxide)
The deadliest and most watched of pollutants, CO if not removed from the exhaust can upon exposure to humans be very toxic and lethal. CO restricts the red blood cells ability to absorb oxygen molecules thereby suffocating the body. CO can be cancer causing.

Micro Fresh Filters Pty. Ltd. (CO) Carbon Monoxide Exhaust Pollutant Reduction Rate: Up to 99%

HC (Hydrocarbons)
A very deadly and toxic pollutant, hydrocarbons are responsible for creating small irritants that can be easily absorbed into the lungs if not removed from the exhaust stream. Once in the lungs it can cause respiratory infections and shortness of breath. The harsh “rotten egg” smell
associated with all diesel engines is a byproduct of HC.

DPM (Diesel Particulate Matter)
Although not immediately lethal, prolonged exposure to these groups of pollutants can cause serious illness including cancer and respiratory problems. DPM is made up of dry carbon (soot), inorganic oxides (primarily as sulfates), and liquids. Liquids are a combination of unburned diesel fuel and lubricating oils which as a group are referred to as soluble organic fractions (SOF) or volatile organic fractions (VOF).

NOx (Nitrogen Oxide)
Although not lethal to immediate exposure it’s believed that NOx contributes to the development the “greenhouse effect” because of its strong absorption capability in the infrared.

Micro Fresh Filters Pty. Ltd. (NOx) Nitrogen Oxide Exhaust Pollutant Reduction Rate: Up to 99%

Acrolein
Clear, colorless or yellowish liquid with a piercing, disagreeable odor. Extremely flammable and toxic by inhalation or ingestion. Can cause tearing (Lachrymator). Will also cause irritation to skin and eyes.

Micro Fresh Filters Acrolein Exhaust Pollutant Reduction Rates

Micro Fresh Filters Pty. Ltd. Acrolein Exhaust Pollutant Reduction Rate: Up to 90%

Catalytic Converters and Catalyzed Muffler exhaust systems offer highly effective exhaust pollution filtration, and will assist mining and related industries to meet and in most cases exceed the stringent and continually increasing emission standards set for by the OSHA/MSHA, EPA or CARB standards.
